[For a few seconds, the audio feed only gives off static. Crackles of life soon follow, as well as cuts and bits of a woman's voice.]

[Yep, barely out of the box and it seems that this newcomer has already trashed her gear pretty well. There's a static-filled sigh, though she doesn't seem particularly upset with whoever she's speaking to.]

[The woman falls silent for a few moments. Apparently, she had been figuring out the buttons, as the audio feed switches to a weak video. It shows a wide-eyed blonde. Maybe it's the flickering screen or the slightly-distorted picture, but it almost looks like there's...blood on her clothes--a nurse uniform.]

Is-- --van? I tho-- --s dead...

[And the feed ends there. Sorry, but any replies from Lisa will be pretty choppy for a while, it seems!]

When she finally remembers just which button allows her to write to others, Lisa deflates and mumbles to herself.]

[She straightens up a bit and returns her voice to normal.]

[He scowls at the feed.]

Could always try hitting it. [This is how Ironhide repairs things, apparently.]

[For a while, Lisa just stares.

And then she hands the device off to her Happiny, who squeals in delight and tosses it at the ground again.

Several moments pass where the video has simply turned into a screen of white noise and static, but when the nurse switches to audio, it seems to work okay.]

Hello? Does this work?

[The old Autobot quirks an eyebrow. He really hadn't expected that to work, but hey.]

Yeah. I hear you now.

[If Happiny could be male, this one would be named Fonzie. Or just, like... Destructoid. Or Clobbers McGee.

In any case, Lisa gives a sigh of relief.]

I wasn't expecting it to actually work, but... Didn't have much to lose, and I'll take what I can get.

[No video/text function is a small price to pay for being heard, after all.]

See if a Center will repair it. Some kid got his fixed a while back, after he let his bird drop it.

A center...? I haven't seen any place called that, here. [Slight pause.] I'm in a lab, right now. Is that anywhere close to one of these center places?

I guess so... I had just assumed it was in my bag.

Only lab I know is back in the starting city. Place we all turn up.

[There's a small silence from Lisa's side. Part of it is because she's processing the information, but she's also...not really sure what to say.]

So... Is there a center anywhere nearby?

Should be. Next town over.

Ah... Thank you, then. I'll likely be spending the night here, but it's good to know that I should be able to get it fixed sometime soon. I just hope it holds out until then...
