I've been thinking about words.
[Hello, Route! Today, this nurse is blood- and static-free, and she's also tied her hair back in a loose ponytail. Seems she's quite comfortable. Her tone is more one of musing, than confusion, which is always a step-up in her book.]
Things can have a price, but they can also have a worth. And both of those are good things, generally, and reflect something's value. So why is it good when something is priceless, but not when it's worthless?
[Lisa shakes her head.]
I suppose it's not important. But--
[She's cut off by a sharp series of taps at her window behind her, and she turns to see...a Hoothoot. And frowns. That thing sure is staring at her pretty hard...]
Again? Maybe I shouldn't have fed it...

Something tells me it's still gonna be there. At least it's not doing those freaky owl old-woman-screams, right?
[Heather you're not helping]

Date: 2012-03-20 12:30 am (UTC)...I guess that's a good thing.
[Lisa may not quite understand that Heather thinks they're cute, but the Hoothoot has totally picked up on it. And gosh, he is preening.]

Date: 2012-03-20 08:18 am (UTC)Seriously. Like, mine? I only caught her because I was camping out and she was making like... the most hideous noises in the tree RIGHT ABOVE MY HEAD. You'd never know now, though, she's the quietest thing.
[And then, at long last, a pause.]
Hey, are you okay?

At Heather's question, the nurse manages to come back a little, exhaling loudly.]
Y-yes, Alessa, I'm...fine. ...You just don't seem very bothered at all by these owl things.

Date: 2012-03-23 07:20 am (UTC)Mine had babies once.
Once you've got a dozen or so miniature versions of those tumbling around on the floor and twittering, they don't seem as scary anymore.

Date: 2012-03-27 04:33 pm (UTC)...She had seen worse things, for sure.]
And they're pretty much harmless, yes? For the trainers, anyway.

Date: 2012-03-30 05:06 am (UTC)I mean... my friend's attacks him but that's because it's a psycho. All the other ones I've met are normal.

Date: 2012-03-31 04:02 pm (UTC)Right. Okay. Good, I think.
[Lisa's still going to treat it as a waiting game, half-hoping the thing goes away, but she has resolved to catch it if it's still there later.
Instead, she turns her attention to Heather, offering a tiny smile.]
...So. How are you doing?
